Yesterday was a great day. I got plenty of sleep as usual, worked for a few hours at Gaia Yoga Gardens and had the rest of the day to socialize with my friends and fellow brothers. Nothing much happened in terms of my Fruitarian Bodybuilding Athlete Challenge but that is alright, I have been accomplishing other things in the meantime and I am proud of that.
I am Good Enough
As soon as I woke up in the morning I took a minute to do a new quick meditation that I committed to performing every day this week. It basically involves closing my eyes and focusing on the mantra “I am good enough”. It was a decision I made after finding out that the thoughts of “I am not good enough” were slowing me down, causing fear and holding me back from making important choices with confidence.
After that I went to the compost toilet and took another horrible poop, this time it was the peanuts that I had eaten the night before. It was a serious reminder of how fruit digests better than anything else I ever had.
Visiting Kanekiki Farm and the ManKind Project iGroup
During the afternoon I learned how to break into a car to get the keys from someone who had lock himself out and then I got a ride to the Kanekiki Farm to meet with Jake, Ray and Bitzy. I brought my friends some coconuts to share the delicious gift I was receiving and we proceeded to spend the next hour or so eating some fruit.
At 6 p.m. I took Jake and Bitzy to the ManKind Project meeting. I wanted them to learn about the work and benefit from this group like I have benefited. They ended up having a very good experience and I got to do some major work around my fear of expressing my love freely with confidence, knowing that I am good enough. I cried for the first time in months, it felt amazing. I love the ManKind Project, it always leaves me feeling empowered like nothing else.
My First Experience with Instinctive Eating
When I arrived back to Gaia Yoga Gardens I went straight to the kitchen and had another handful/s of peanuts. This time I was careful to eat less than the day before, but I still think I had more than I should. While I was in the kitchen I took a long look at Ano’s book: Instinctive Eating.
Ano is the owner of Gaia Yoga Gardens and he wrote the book Instinctive Eating when he was living at Pangaia, the property which is now known as the Kanekiki Farm. Instinctive Eating is all about eating raw, but it is also includes the consumption of animal flesh. I had some resistance to the information I found on the book, mainly in regards to eating animal products. There was a section of the book that shared a story about the first time Ano killed a chicken to eat it raw, he said it was a very powerful experience. I actually ended up dreaming about eating a chicken raw, when I woke up in the morning I was feeling surprised, but there was no doubt in my mind that I was about to try raw animal flesh.
