I am finally caught up to writing my Fruitarian Bodybuilding Athlete Challenge blogs. I seriously left them on the side over the past handful of days. I simply have not felt inspired to write them. Maybe it is because I haven’t spent a single day on a fruit-based diet since I moved to Gaia Yoga Gardens. In fact, my diet has been more of a nut-based diet, consisting mainly of coconuts. I guess that at best, since being at Gaia Yoga Gardens, I have been a “nut-arian bodybuilder”.
On the bright side, I have made some progress in other areas. I have a ticket to return to the mainland on March 6 so I can “regroup” and place some things in order. I also began to upload videos to my YouTube channel straight from my phone. This will make my storyline a little confusing because I still haven’t uploaded hundreds of videos from past months. I guess this is the way it is meant to be.
During the morning I felt sluggish and tired. On top of that the sun was shining and I decided to take the day off. It was a great choice and a very empowering one indeed. During our morning meeting I shared my choice to take the day off and everyone respected that, it is one of the things I love about Gaia Yoga Gardens.
Getting High on Life and Running Far and Strong
During the afternoon I walked around the neighborhood to get some herb from Peace. It was my first time getting herb in Hawaii. After taking a couple of tokes I walked to the highway and then got inspired to run and so I ran for a while. I even made it all the way to the lighthouse. I must have run 4 miles or so, I felt great, inspired, alive, strong…
During my adventure I walked by a herd of cows that were near Gaia Yoga Gardens. I remember the experience very vividly. I even made a recording of it on my phone as it was happening. The whole experience felt like I was part of a Disney movie. The cows I saw looked beautiful, alive and conscious. Being there I thought I could never hurt them, they looked like huge baby bunnies. It was a surreal experience, hard to explain. On my way back I also found a heard of cows, four times bigger than the first, I wish I had better words to explain my experience.
Eating Raw Flesh as a Fruitarian Bodybuilder? Weird
By the time I returned to Gaia Yoga Gardens I had already made the decision to try eating raw meat. I am sure some readers will be shocked, as I am, to find out that I ate raw flesh from a cow. I knew the path to fruitarianism was going to be challenging, at the same time, I don’t want to say that I didn’t see this coming, I know myself well enough to have predicted this experience. In a way, I came to Gaia Yoga Gardens to test all these things and I am glad and proud and accepting of the path I am in and the choices I make. Unfortunately I am not able to express myself fully right now regarding this topic, but I will make videos to share about my experience.
That being said, I do want to add that I still see fruit as the most ethical food and the most beneficial for the environment and animals of course. I can’t yet speak about the health benefits or detriments of eating raw flesh because I haven’t experienced it enough. I can say, however, that I thought the raw flesh was going to make me sick and it didn’t. I actually thought I was going to have a single bite, a small handful at most. I ended up eating over a pound of raw cow flesh. It didn’t smell good or bad, it didn’t taste good or bad, it simply was, I did enjoy the texture though, it felt good to hold it in my hand and to feel it in my mouth. Enlightening to say the least.
In terms of stars, I am going to take one for a picture, one for exercising for more than two hours and another one for getting plenty of sleep. I do think it is a miracle that this Fruitarian Bodybuilding Athlete Challenge is still happening, even if I am failing miserably on it. I still have a week left on it, I don’t have much hope to get a ton of stars, but I do plan on doing the challenge again next month to stay on track.
