Today was interesting to say the least. I woke up around 6 a.m. and skipped our morning yoga class. Instead, I decided to work on my fruitarian blog. At 7:30 a.m. I was downstairs ready for our meeting.
For today’s work session I chose to weed whack again. I am getting much better at it and I still enjoy the job. It is simple, monotonous and I am very effective with it. I love seeing how much work I got done at the end of the day.
I actually enjoyed working so much today that I ended up working a whole extra hour. Then I took a shower to rinse off and had a handful of papayas.
Working on my Fruitarian Books
The rest of my day was pretty mellow, I didn’t do much more than eat papayas and work on my fruitarian books. Right now I am in the process of gathering my sources to cite facts and choosing general things like publishing opportunities, coloring options and prices.
I definitely want the book to have color inside which will make it much more costly. That being said, I want to keep the cost of the book under $20 because anything over sounds too expensive. I may end up going with both of these options and accepting the fact that I won’t be making any money from the book. This is ok though, after all, writing is a hobby and this fruitarian book is technically part of my internship at the Kanekiki Farm.
Towards the end of the day I went to the gym and got a quick workout, I didn’t feel like working out but I thought it was due time. I have been skipping my workouts lately but that is nothing new. That being said, I do have lots of energy, I just chose to invest it on other things. You already know how I feel about this fruitarian bodybuilding project, so I won’t get into that on this blog.
Naked Photography with the Full Moon
Around 8 p.m. I sat to talk to Ray and Jake about my book and the questions I am working with right now. After talking for 20 minutes I got up to pee and as I walked outside I saw the full moon bright on the sky.
I came back upstairs and asked Jake and Ray to join me on an adventure. I wanted to walk under the full moon outside the farm, but to all of us, felt like too much work. Instead, we decided to simply go out to the front entrance of the farm. As soon as we got downstairs I took my boxers off and began to run around in circles yelling “Adventure! Adventure!” … I love being silly and letting my inner child play around.
It would be awesome if I could tell you Jake and Ray did the same, but instead they stood back and laughed, not at me, with me. Then we all stood still and admired the beauty of the moon.
A little later Shannon joined us and we began to take pictures of me naked with the full moon on the background. We didn’t have a tripod and the light was tricky so we had to improvise. I had to set up a stool on top of a table and balance on top to get a good shot. It was risky, but it was worthwhile.
The Future of My Fruitarian Blog
Tonight marks exactly 6 weeks since I arrived to Hawaii. This Friday is supposed to be my last day working as an intern and next week I start my work-trade phase at the Kanekiki Farm. I am considering wrapping up this series of blogs since from Monday on I will be working twice as many hours per week at the farm. I also want to have more time to work on my fruitarian books and edit/publish my video logs. I have over 150 recordings that I never got to upload to my YouTube channel and I think it is time to do so.
I will continue to write blogs about my experience at the Kanekiki Farm, perhaps once a week or once every month. I will also start to shoot videos again, which will be available once I post all the other ones I have pending.
It will be interesting to share the beginnings of my fruitarian journey. In a way this will look like the release of the Star Wars saga, with episodes 4, 5, and 6 coming out first, then episodes 1, 2 and 3 and finally 7, 8 and 9. In the same way, what I have shared on this blogs about the Kanekiki Farm, could be considered as the middle part of my journey.
This six week internship at the Kanekiki Farm has been the tipping point that has allowed me to experience the fruitarian diet to its fullest extent. What comes next is what I will be doing as an establish practitioner of fruitarianism. Hopefully I will be able to focus on the fruitarian bodybuilder project with more diligence and I expect my fruitarian books to be released soon, at least before the end of 2017.
These are exciting times.
