Today was a ground breaking day in many ways. It was quite fascinating to say the least. I am not sure if the highlight was all the progress I made with my fruitarian books, or dancing naked to the full moon…
I woke up from a dream-full night, headed over to the community room and stretched for a little while. For breakfast I had papayas and before our morning meeting I got some work done on my fruitarian books. I have now started editing my first draft and adding work cited sources for the data I am sharing.
Our morning meeting was quick as usual. I volunteered to harvest the front side of the Kanekiki Farm along with Nick and Jake. It was an interesting harvest day, especially because we picked two new fruits: jaboticabas and mulberries.
Fruitarian Books and Nonviolent Communication
I was hoping to work another hour or two but I was tired but the end of my shift. Harvesting usually takes more energy from me, not because it is labor intensive but because it requires waiting for others and that drains me more than hard work.
After putting my work equipment away I ate a big bowl of oranges and talked to Sam, who recently returned from the main land. After my orange binge I went upstairs to work on my fruitarian books. I am very happy with the work I have done so far. I am getting close to have a draft ready to send to an editor.
I am very excited and feel that this fruitarian book may become quite a success.
At 2:30 p.m. we had our nonviolent communication class. Only five of us attended. I felt quite tired during the session, more than anything I felt emotionally drained. I was withholding things I wanted to say and that was taxing to my emotional body.
Speaking Easy with Lots of People
I left the class before checking out. I went downstairs and took a shower, the water was cold. After that I had some more food and went upstairs to finish getting more work done on my fruitarian books and get ready for our Speak Easy meeting.
Half an hour before starting the meeting I went down to the patio and played guitar by myself, then Destiny showed up and made me company. We had a sweet time.
Our Speak Easy night was the most popular since I began to run the meetings, we had a total of 18 people. It was a powerful night. We got to share gratitude, intimacies and withholds. We also did a “shower of love” for Andy who is going back to Australia in a few days. It was a bitter-sweet experience. Loving and sad.
Naked Full Moon Dance Party
Around 8 p.m. we closed the circle and I invited the group to a “full moon, clothes optional” party by the green house, twelve people showed up. Half of the group got fully naked and we danced in the rain for an hour and a half. It was an awesome experience, one of a kind. I am very excited and very proud of who I‘ve become, the people in this community and the trajectory were the Kanekiki Farm is heading.
Life is Beautiful.
