A few hours ago I was writing a blog about my new fruitarian bodybuilding challenge which started today. All of a sudden, the words entered my awareness: “Fruitarian Freedom”. Suddenly I saw them as the name of the self sustainable eco village I want to grow.
My dreams of building, growing and participating in intentional communities began to intensify a few years ago, after moving to Santa Barbara, California. Since then, I have slowly but surely been building up my ideas and experience regarding self sustainable eco villages, permaculture and holistic health.
Fruitarian Communities are in the Future
After learning about fruitarianism, reading extensible about it and spending three months in Hawaii living in a raw vegan community, I can say with absolute certainty that fruitarian communities are likely to become the most sustainable, healthy and environmentally friendly eco villages all over the world.
I say this with pride and joy. I am grateful to receive this vision and to have enough brain power to deduct its possibilities and probabilities. It is clear that once people can leave all their fears around fruitarian diets on the side, they will see that fruitarian communities are much healthier, environmentally friendly, ethical and sustainable than any other known option.
There is much I can say about this, and I will in the future to come. In the meantime, I want to share a few links that I found as I researched the words “fruitarian freedom” on Google. Hopefully this information will show you that there is more than one crazy (or genius) person talking about the fruitarian diet.
Fruitarian Freedom Around the Web
The first link I found was called from a website called Towards Freedom. The article was about “The Jesus Diet” which, according to the Essene Church of Jesus Christ, is the diet Jesus ate when he was alive in human form. I actually came across this idea a few months ago and found it fascinating. The more I read about the Essenes and their view of the optimal diet the more I got excited about the future of fruitarianism.
The second link was about 200 Israelis who used to be vegan and now are practicing fruitarianism. The article says that these people “have gone to the extreme end of the nutrition spectrum and become fruitarians”. It even talks about people who are planing a “fruit-only wedding. Instead of stepping on a glass, the couple will plant a mango tree.” One of the Israelis interviewed states that “there are other aspects to consider (in regards to diet) aside from the destructive nature of the animal-based food industry”. Read more about it here.
The third link on Google was from the one and only Mango Wodzak author of Destination Eden and The Eden Fruitarian Guidebook. His article was about Tørd, a 66 years old man who has been eating purely fruit for 24 years (since 1985). Mango includes some quotes from Tord’s book including “Freedom for me is freedom from disease, pain, premature aging and all ailments connected to this (which are degenerative symptoms), aggressive behavior, negative manipulation, negative thoughts and harmful power and control, including financial control, and it’s my conviction and experience that fruit gives you this freedom.” and “No love comes from meat, because meat creates disharmony. Fruit gives life and spiritual growth. eating fruit gives peace in body and mind.” Here is the link.
The fourth link was for a YouTube video from Michael Arnstein, a fruitarian athlete and runner who won multiple ultra-marathons on fruit based diets. The video talks about how food addiction is a very real epidemic and that fruitarianism is the path to freedom from food addictions. Surely many would disagree with Michael but his logic has always been reasonable to me.
Link number five was also a YouTube video, this one by Anne Osborne, fruitarian goddess with 25+ years of experience with the fruitarian diet. The video is two hours long so I didn’t look over it, but I am sure it is insightful.
Link number six was about Michael Arnstein but it didn’t have much substance to it. Link number seven, however, was packed with information about the benefits of the fruitarian diet, which include of course, improvement on the capacity to work”, interior feeling of freedom, interior feeling of peace and joy and increase of free time. I really enjoyed this website, it has plenty of good information.
The remaining useful link was from a site called Parallel Perception which has an article titled “Freedom From Pain: Rheumatoid Arthritis and the Raw Food Diet”
