Fruitarian Nutrition – Surpluses and Deficiencies on a Fruitarian Diet by Someone Who Actually Tried It

May 22, 2017 Posted by brunotreves Fruit Diet, Fruitarian, Fruitarianism

FRUITARIAN NUTRITION – MY SCORES ON A FRUITARIAN DIET

I use an app to track all my macro and micro nutrients on a fruit only diet and this is what the data shows. I will give you an example of my averages for the past week. Bare in mind I don’t actually believe in the minimum requirements offered by science, so I am not even trying to balance anything, I just eat when I am hungry and I eat what I want, I exercise daily, work and live a normal life. I am healthier than %99.99 of people in this world. My blood test are perfect. Anyhow here it goes:

I am 6 feet 3 inches and weight around 170 pounds. Over the past week, eating only fruit, I consumed an average of:

1,900 calories

33 grams of protein

355 grams of carbs

65 grams of fat

VITAMIN INTAKE ON A FRUITARIAN DIET

I HAVE MORE THAN 100% OF ALL MY VITAMINS COVERED, INCLUDING:

B1 109%

B2 122%

B3 115%

B5 196%

B6 275%

FOLATE 161%

VITAMIN A 301%

VITAMIN C 723%

VITAMIN E 134%

VITAMIN K 319%

The only thing I got 0% of is B12, which we don’t need to live a healthy life. That is a myth pushed by the animal industry to get you to buy their toxic products….

MINERAL INTAKE ON A FRUITARIAN DIET

When it comes to minerals I have more than 100% of the “required” minimum needs for all minerals except:

Calcium: I got 81%, and would have easily made 100% if I had eaten a few more servings of Kiwis, Tomatoes, Cucumbers and/or Grapes.

Selenium: I only got 17% which could be considered low if we truly need that much indeed. However, I believe Selenium may only be a need for people who eat unhealthy diets with lots of animal products, I don’t eat any of that, so I don’t need much Selenium to balance the negative effects of animal products.

Zinc: I got 55% of my “minimum requirements”. Again, who knows if we truly need that much. The research on “minimum requirements” is done using people that live very unhealthy lives and eat unhealthy food. A healthy body like mine may not need much of that mineral.

I GOT ALL THE FIBER AND STARCH I NEED AND AN ALMOST PERFECT BALANCE BETWEEN OMEGA 3 AND OMEGA 6. With a 50% of “min requirements” but again, I don’t believe we need that much fat, this is also pushed by animal product businesses.

PROTEIN INTAKE ON A FRUITARIAN DIET

Finally, I got a 55% on protein requirements. EATING ONLY FRUIT.

YES, YOU HEARD THAT RIGHT, FRUIT HAS PROTEIN, LOTS OF IT IN FACT.

The reason why I only got 55% is because I don’t care about minimum requirements, but if I eat more bananas and watermelon I can easily hit over 100% of protein requirements, and I am talking about the whole spectrum of amino acids.

GIVE FRUIT A CHANCE! 🙂 YOU ARE BLESSED. 🙂 <3
