Tips on How to be a Fruitarian in WinterDiscovering how to be a fruitarian in winter can be challenging, but it is essential to understand the basics. Fruits have varying effects on the body’s temperature, with some having a cooling effect, while others can have a heating effect. Cooling fruits include apples, bananas, grapefruit, kiwis, lemons, oranges, pear, persimmons, strawberries, and watermelon, while less cooling/warming fruits include cherries, dates, coconut water, guavas, mangos, nectarines, peaches, and raspberries. Neutral fruits are apricots, figs, goji berries, grapes, olives, papayas, pineapples, and plums.

To make the most of a fruitarian diet in winter, eat more warming fruits and fewer cooling fruits. Here are 17 tips for being a fruitarian in winter:

Tip #1: Add ginger to your juices to warm your body.

Tip #2: Do exercises to get your blood moving, especially in the morning and evening.

Tip #3: Dress in layers, including socks, warm shoes, thick pants, and a jacket, with a hat or hoodie outside.

Tip #4: Don’t eat fruit straight from the fridge.

Tip #5: Eat as much as possible and pack in as many calories as you can.

Tip #6: Add more fat to your diet, in the form of avocados and olives.

Tip #7: Spend as much time as possible in the sun to get natural warmth.

Tip #8: Drink herbal tea, especially in the morning and at night.

Tip #9: Spend time around a bonfire or fireplace.

Tip #10: Don’t be stingy with your heating system.

Tip #11: Stay warm at night with lots of blankets on your bed.

Tip #12: Get a cuddle buddy for those cold nights.

Tip #13: Eat cooling fruits during the warmest parts of the day.

Tip #14: Remember that some fruitarian diets allow for vegetables as well, which can be cooked for a warming effect.

Tip #15: Vitamin C from oranges, kiwis, and lemons helps support the body’s natural detoxification process.

Tip #16: If all else fails, consider moving.

By following these tips, you can have an easier time maintaining a fruitarian diet during the winter season.
